All of us at Classic Homes, though working on different aspects of homebuilding, share one common vision, and that is to provide beautiful, comfortable homes to our customers with the least disturbance to our environment. This includes adhering to the following principles:
- Classic Homes is eco-conscience with every home we build. Learn about the greener side of Classic.
- We refuse to use lumber from endangered or old-growth forests. In practice, the company acts to ensure that its lumber suppliers and subcontractors strictly avoid procuring wood from areas that need particular environmental protection. Classic Homes strives to preserve, replace or plant new trees on our homeowners' property and frequently supports state, county and municipal public park measures to protect the environment.
- Classic Homes gives $500 to every homeowner toward planting trees that help the environment.
- We offer architectural designs and specifications that conserve energy. We plan and work extensively with our environmentally conscious buyers to build a home that reduces energy consumption and is equipped with energy saving mechanisms. A number of our homes now earn Comfort Wise or ENERGY STAR ratings. In addition, all of our design centers offer our customers a full range of "energy efficiency" and "water wise" options.
- Classic Homes has partnered with charities such as Second Chance, a non-profit organization that builds for the underprivileged. We offer them the opportunity to work with our customers who own old homes that are about to be demolished and take away any and every part of their home that is re-useable. We believe in re-using and recycling; we strive to recycle all unused materials whenever possible.
